Norman Virgil Berry

Norman Virgil Berry, 94, of Hamilton, Mo., passed away Saturday, March 29, 2008, at the Hillcrest Nursing Home, in Hamilton, following a brief illness. He was born Sept. 5, 1913, in Cole Camp, Mo., to James Washington Berry and Martha Merchant Berry. He was married April 22, 1938, in Nevada, to Mildred Elizabeth Hinds and she survives of the home.

Mr. Berry spent his youth in Vernon County. He made a living as a superintendent of construction working for George Bauman as well as Huxtable Hammond. He retired in 1975. He spent the past 40 years of his life in Hamilton, and was a member of the Christian Church.

In addition to his wife Mildred, he is survived by one daughter, Beverly Huhs, of Hamilton; eight grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, James Lee Berry, three brothers and two sisters.

A private burial will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 1, at Newton Burial Park, in Nevada.
