Juanita Catherine "Doodle" Foreman

Juanita Catherine "Doodle" Foreman, 78, of Walker, Mo., passed away from this life Monday morning, Sept. 8, 2008, at her home north of Walker, after a tough battle with cancer. She was born on Oct. 31, 1929, to Oscar Amor Ketterman and Selma Catherine Young Ketterman. She married Russell Lee Foreman on May 27, 1946, in Fort Scott, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 13, 2002.

Juanita lived in the Vernon County area all of her life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, in Walker, of Nevada Chapter No. 53 Ordered of the Eastern Star, and the Coal Creek Helping Hand Club. She loved to play Bingo at the Eagles and Elks Lodge every chance she got. Juanita helped on the farm all her life. She was employed later at the Nevada Habilitation Center for a short time, the Nevada Manor and sold Avon for more than 20 years. She loved to raise terrier dogs and loved horses.

Survivors include two daughters, Jennie Foreman and husband Harry, Alberta hays and husband Clen, all of Walker; three sons, Roy Lee Foreman and his wife Ruth, John Foreman and wife Sharon, all of Walker, and Donald Foreman and wife Becky, of rural Nevada; 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-laws, Margaret Ketterman, of Nevada, and Alice Beaty and husband Joe Lee, of El Dorado Springs; two brothers-in-laws, Charles Foreman and wife Neoma, of Walker, and Frank Haynes and his wife Fern, of El Dorado Springs; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends and neighbors. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Kenneth (Cobb) and Charles (Chick) Ketterman, and one half-brother Finis Ketterman. She will be missed by all.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Thursday, Sept. 11, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada. Interment will follow in Green Mound Cemetery, in Harwood, Mo. Eastern Star Services will be held at 7 p.m., on Wednesday at the family visitation will follow from 7:30-8:30 p.m., at Ferry Funeral Home.
