Virginia Lee King Moss

Virginia Lee King Moss, 79, Willard, Mo., passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008 at the Willard Care Center in Willard following a lengthy illness. She was born June 20, 1929, in Osage, Okla., to George William King and Bessie Cooley King. She married George Edgar Moss on April 25, 1947, in Siloam Springs, Ark., and he preceded her in death.

Virginia was born and raised in Osage, Okla. She graduated from Siloam Springs High School. She made her living as a lab and X-ray technician working at a number of hospitals, retiring from Upsher Labs in 1984. She was a member and very active in the Church of the Nazarene for a lifetime.

Survivors include two daughters, Cherie Hodge, Willard, Mo., and Karen Magness of Springfield, Mo.; one son, John Moss, Walker, Mo.; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two brothers, and one sister. She was preceded in death by two sons, James Victor Moss and Joe Lee Moss.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Sept. 13, at Newton Burial Park, Nevada, with pastor Mike Satterlee officiating. Friends may call now and until 10:30 a.m., Saturday morning at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
