Glenda Nell Reedy

Glenda Nell Reedy, 62, Moundville, Mo., passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2008, at her home in Moundville. She was born Feb. 16, 1946, in Nevada, to Edward Eugene Hulse and Vida Maxine Gardner Hulse. She married Jerry Reedy on Aug. 2, 1964, in Nevada, and he survives of the home.

Glenda grew up in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School in 1965. She worked for Junior House Collectibles in Nevada for 18 years. Later, she worked for O'Sullivan's, in Lamar for 10 years. Glenda was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Nevada, had been an active 4-H volunteer, and had served on the Vernon County Youth Fair Board for many years.

Survivors in addition to her husband Jerry include one daughter, Vicki Gastel and her husband Leonard, Sheldon, Mo.; one son, David Reedy and his wife Kim, Moundville, Mo.; three granddaughters, Michaela Reedy, Erin Reedy, and Lindsey Reedy; three brothers, Lowell Hulse, Bronaugh, Mo., Harold Hulse, Independence, Mo., and Ed Hulse, Stephenville, Texas, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Monday, Oct. 27, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with John Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park, Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service and the family receives friends 5-6 p.m., Sunday evening at the funeral home.
