Delpha M. Vinyard, 93, Nevada, passed away Friday, Oct. 24, 2008, at Moore-Few Care Center in Nevada, following a lengthy illness. She was born March 25, 1915, in Marshfield, Mo., to Lee Underhill and Eva Lou Barkley Underhill. She was married June 3, 1931, in Marshfield, Mo., to William Marlin Vinyard and her preceded her in death Jan. 20, 1979.

Mrs. Vinyard was born and reared in Marshfield, Mo. During her early years of marriage she and her husband lived in a variety of locales where she was a homemaker and devoted mother. She and her husband, Bill, came to Nevada, in 1962 and together owned and operated Vinyard Farm and Home Supply and the store continues in operation today. She was a member and Elder in the First Presbyterian Church, in Nevada. She was a very active member in the Presbyterian Women's Association in Nevada as long as her health allowed. She enjoyed gardening and her flowers and also her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Vinyard and his wife Margaret, of Nevada, and David Vinyard and his wife Fiona Bicester, of England; one daughter Mary Anne Gordon and her husband Gale, Kirksville, Mo.; five grandchildren, Cynthia Gordon, of Platt City, Mo., Phillip Vinyard, Columbia, Mo., Dyanne Dillon, Joplin, Mo., Greg Gordon, Kirksville, Mo., and Melissa Vinyard, Lawrence, Kan., and eight great-grandchildren; one brother Ed Underhill and his wife Joanne, of Highlandville, Mo.; one sister, Georgia Hamilton and her husband Carl, St. Louis, Mo.; five sisters-in law and two brothers-in-law that she was very close to, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 28, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with the Rev. Greg Ferree officiating. Interment will follow in Marshfield City Cemetery, Marshfield, Mo., at 3 p.m., today.

Friends may call now and until the hour of service at Ferry Funeral Home, 301 S, Washington, Nevada, and the family received friends at the funeral home Monday evening between 5 and 6 p.m.

The family suggests that memorials may be made in her honor to the Nevada First Presbyterian Church in care of the funeral home.
