Amanda Gail Shadden

Amanda Gail Shadden, age 11, Nevada, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008, along with her sister Coleen as the result of a house fire. She was born on May 6, 1997, in Nevada, to Ronnie Lee Shadden and Cheryl Denise Edmunds.

Amanda was a sixth grade student at Nevada Middle School. She was active on the volleyball team, basketball team and band choir. Amanda was an honor student and had not missed a school day for the past four years.

Survivors include her parents, Cheryl and Darren Dennison of the home; Ronnie and Elizabeth Shadden, Arma, Kan.; one sister, Kadessa Shadden, of the home; one brother, Braxton Shadden, of the home; step-brothers and step-sisters, Lauren Dennison, Trevor Dennison, Ronnie Shadden, and Quentin Shadden; grandparents, Ronald and Thelma Estes, Nevada, and Jim and Vickie Dennison, Nevada; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Harry and Coleen Shadden.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., on Monday, Dec. 15, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with the Rev. Bill Platt officiating. Interment will follow in Moore Cemetery, Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service and the family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m., on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 14.
