Erbin Regar Todd Sr., 90, Nevada, passed away on Friday, Jan. 2, 2009, at his home in Nevada. He was born May 13, 1918, in Ada, Okla., to E.C. Todd and Berty Mae Slagle Todd. He married Margaret Agnes Todd on Aug. 18, 1944, in Ada, Okla., and she preceded him in death on Jan. 26, 1998.

Regar was a graduate of Ada High School, Ada, Okla., in 1936. He served in the United States Army during World War II from 1942-1946. During his service he served as General Patton's First Sergeant and received the Battle Star for the Battle of Germany. Following the war, he and Agnes came to Nevada. Regar farmed his whole life. He was a longtime member of the Nevada Country Club and was an avid golfer for many years.

Survivors include four children, Erbin Regar Todd, Jr. and his wife Denise, Nevada, Maggie Earnest and her husband Jime, Nevada, Alice Shupe and her husband Ken, Nevada, and Low Daniel Todd and his wife Eileen, Raytown, Mo.; seven grandchildren, E.R. Trey Todd III, Nevada, Sherry Jo Todd, South Lake Tahoe, Calif., Megan Todd, Lauren Todd, and Hannah Todd, all of Raytown, Mo., Jill Smith and her husband Brian and Todd Earnest and his wife Stephanie, both of Nevada, and one sister, Buna Mae Cochran, Oklahoma City, Okla. In addition to his wife Agnes, he was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Glenn, Howe, and Billy Joe Todd.

Graveside services with Military Rites will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Jan. 5, at Newton Burial Park, Nevada, under the direction of Ferry Funeral Home. Pastor Roger Beach will officiate. Friends may call now and until 9 a.m., on Monday at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
