March 21

There were reports of gun shots heard in the Schell City area, an alarm in the Nevada area, a controlled burn in the Dederick area, a theft in the Nevada area, a vehicle theft in the Nevada area, harassment in the Deerfield area, a suspicious vehicle in the Deerfield area, and harassment in the Sheldon area.

Sara A. McDermott, 29, of Nevada, was arrested and processed by the Nevada Police Department on charges of possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, and keeping/maintaining a public nuisance. She is being held in lieu of a $26,500 bond.

Julie M. Drake, 40, of Nevada, was arrested and processed by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, on charges of driving while intoxicated. She was released on a $350 bond.

Gary L. Hood, 48, of Joplin, was arrested and processed by the Nevada Police Department on charges of failure to appear for nonsupport, and failure to appear for driving while revoked. He was released on a $3,500 and $500 cash only bond.

March 22

There were reports of an intoxicated driver in the Nevada area, a check well being in the Walker area, a runaway in the Nevada area, a roll over vehicle accident in the Schell City area, a burglary in the Nevada area, mailbox damage in the Walker area, cows out in the Nevada area, a medical request in the Schell City area, harassment in the Rich Hill area, a check well being in the Nevada area, a careless and imprudent driver in the Rich Hill area, an agency assist in the Nevada area, an animal on the loose in the Nevada area, and a tree fire in the Nevada area.

Tyler M. Gast, 18, of Nevada, was arrested and processed by the Vernon County Sheriff's Office on charges of a minor in possession. He was released on a $1,000 bond.

Aaron W. Plummer, 26, of Harwood, was arrested and processed by the Missouri State Highway Patrol on charges of driving while intoxicated. He was released on a $350 bond.

March 23

There were reports of a burglary in the Sheldon area, a controlled burn in the Sheldon area, a vicious dog inthe Milo area, trash dumping in the Richards area, a burglary in the Nevada area, a burglary in the Schell City area, a fraud in the Rich Hill area, and a traffic stop in the Nevada area.

David W. Miller, of Nevada, was arrested and processed by the Nevada Police Department on charges of purchasing or receiving drug precursors. He was released on a $1,000 bond.

Samantha Rice, 18, of Nevada, was arrested and processed by the Vernon County Sheriff's Office on charges of possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance. She was released on a $6,000 bond.

Jail population: 17
