Lenard "Len" Roby, 60, Nevada, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at his home in Nevada, following a lengthy illness. He was born August 27, 1948, in Humansville, Mo., to Dale Owen Roby and Mary Margurite Atkins Roby. He married Rebecca A. Davis on Feb. 10, 1971, in El Dorado Springs, Mo., and she survives of the home.

Len grew up in Stockton and graduated from Stockton High School in 1966. He served in the U. S. Army in Vietnam from January to December of 1970. Len worked at 3M in Nevada for 30 years until his retirement on March 1, 2009. He has lived in Nevada for the past 37 years. He was a member of the VVA (Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter No. 918, Nevada) and was a member of the BPO Elks Lodge No. 564 in Nevada.

In addition to his wife Rebecca, he is survived by one daughter, Stacy Ann Hamilton and her husband Mickel, Jerico Springs, Mo.; two sons, Travis Roby and his wife Shannon, Willard, Mo., and Christopher Owen Roby of the home; three grandchildren, Brandon Hamilton, Jessica Hamilton, and Cheyenne Roby; two sisters, Darlene Megli, Lamar, Mo., and Anna Joy Simmons, El Dorado Springs, Mo., and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Bob Roby.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Saturday, April 4, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with Lorne Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Alder Cemetery near Stockton, Mo., with a flag ceremony conducted by the VVA and a gun salute by the Missouri Funeral Honors Team.

Friends may call now and until the hour of service and the family receives friends Friday evening, April 3, from 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home.
