Anna Louise (Chadd) Karr

Anna Louise (Chadd) Karr, 87, Mountain Home, Ark., formerly of Sheldon, Mo., passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at Care Manor Nursing Center, Mountain Home, Ark., following an illness of several weeks. She was born Nov. 3, 1921, in Milo, Mo., to Glen Jeremiah Chadd and Eva Blanche Slates Chadd. She was married on April 5, 1941, in Miami, Okla., to Martin Monroe (Mutt) Karr and he preceded her in death April 1, 2003.

Louise enjoyed her ceramic shop, K&K Ceramic's, and later Karr's Quilt Shop. She and her husband Monroe, who was a farmer most of his career, resided near Sheldon. In recent years Louise enjoyed retirement at the Lake of the Ozarks in Osage Beach, Mo., and most recently the Mountain Home, Ark., area. She was a member of the Dunnegan Grove Christian Church.

Survivors include one son, Martin Glenn Karr and his wife Betty Jean, Anthem, Ariz.; one daughter Connie Jolene Parker and her husband Frank, Mountain Home, Ark.; three grandchildren, Kerry Karr, Kansas City, Mo., Denise Ladyman, Carlyle, Ill., and Kevin Parker, Conway, Ark., and five great-grandchildren; one sister, Margie Starlin, Tallahassee, Fla.; two brothers, John Chadd, Milo, and Donald Chadd, Nevada; and a number of very special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Carl Chadd, Doude Chadd, one infant brother; and a great-granddaughter, Erin Nicole Karr.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 18, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with Earl Ladyman officiating. Interment will follow in Sheldon Cemetery, Sheldon.

Friends may call now and until the time of service at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada, and the family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday between 6 and 7 p.m.
