Charles Edwin Flewelling

Charles Edwin Flewelling, 79, of Milo, Mo., passed away April 14, 2009, at Missouri Rehab Center. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 18, at Maple Hill Funeral Home. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Flewelling was born Nov. 27, 1929, in Nevada, and had lived in Kansas City, Kan., Tonganoxie, Kan., and Milo, for most of his life. He retired as a bodyman for Ford Motor Company after 40 years. Charles was also a life long rancher. He was a Korean war Army Veteran and attended Grace Baptist Church.

Charles was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Ann Planker in 1989; six brothers and one sister. Survivors include son, Keith Flewelling, Overland Park, Kan.; daughter Dawn Ewing, Kansas City, Kan.; brothers, Tom Flewelling, of the home and Dick Flewelling; sisters, Imagene Norris and Ada Fisher; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
