Virginia Lee Green, 80, Adrian, Mo., died Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at Willow Lane Nursing Home in Butler, Mo.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, June 8, 2009, at Crescent Hill Cemetery, in Adrian with the Rev. Bob Maffitt officiating. Music selections were "Beyond the Sunset," and "Sweet Hour of Prayer." Honorary Pall Bearers were: Jim Robb, John Robb, and Leon Robb. Pall Bearers were: Bob Robb, Wayne Robb, Brad Hanson, Glenn Hason, Chad Burns, and Kyle Burns. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.

Virginia was born May 1, 1929, the daughter of Arthur Glenn and Grace Agnes (Godsey) Robb, in La Harpe, Kan., the only daughter of nine children. Virginia grew up and attended school in the Walker, Missouri area. She spent most of her adult life in Bates County, living in Adrian for the past 30 years. She was a member of the Adrian United Methodist Church. On July 27, 1968, she was united in marriage to Allan Green, who preceded her in death on March 17, 1986.

Virginia loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was proud of them. She enjoyed reading, country music and flowers. She collected Teddy Bears and over the years accumulated a large number of them, but she could tell you which friend or family member gave her each one.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Allan; two sons, Eddie Galloway and Steve Gallowa; five bothers, Sgt. Charles (Bud), Tony, Bill, Russell and Gerald Robb. She is survived by two daughters, Jeanne Galloway, Butler, Mo., and Janice Hanson, Amsterdam, Mo.; two stepsons, Jim Green, Bell Buckle, Tenn., and Mike Green and his wife, Helen, Phoenix, Ariz.; three brothers, Jim Robb, Bob Robb and his wife, Priscilla, all of Kansas City, Mo., and Wayne Robb and his wife, Linda, Walker, Mo.; six grandsons; three granddaughters; three great-grandsons, two great-granddaughters and many nieces and nephews.
