E. W. Webb, 97, Nevada, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2009, at Barone Alzheimer's Care Center in Nevada following a brief illness. He was born on Aug. 18, 1911, in Nevada, to J. Walter Webb and Anna Mae Royce Webb. He married Peaches Mundell on June 20, 1937, in Nevada, and she survives of the home.

E. W. was born and raised in Nevada and spent most all of his life here. He graduated from Nevada High School in 1931. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. E. W. worked for a time as a policeman, but primarily made his living in gasoline sales, and both bulk agent for Skelly Oil as well as retail sales. He owned and operated the Apco Station in Nevada for 20 years. He was an avid bowler.

Survivors in addition to his wife Peaches include two sons, Dick Webb, Walker, and Jack Webb, Nevada; one daughter, Dana Webb, Nevada; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Alford.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22, at Newton Burial Park, Nevada. Friends may call now and until 1 p.m., Wednesday, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.

Memorials may be given to People for Pets or the Alzheimer's Foundation in care of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
