Juanita Davis Pearson, 88, died Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Mo. She was born in Nevada's east end on March 11, 1921, the daughter of Burrel E. Davis Sr. and Nellie Silvers Davis. She was married to Frank "Ted" Pearson and he preceded her in death on Feb. 24, 1990.

Mrs. Pearson had a zest for life and was an avid lover of nature and all animals, auctions, and garage sales.

Survivors include one daughter, Jo A. Butcher; one granddaughter, Leslie Holmes; one grandson, Joel Williams; four great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren, all of British Columbia; one sister-in-law, Mary A. Davis, Nevada; two nieces, Christina M. Davis and Katharina S. Dodson; one nephew, Michael F. Davis; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by both parents along with her only brother, Burrel E. Davis, Jr., who died in December of 2004 and her husband, Frank "Ted" Pearson. We that are left in this world are better souls for having her in our lives.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 9, at Moore Cemetery, Nevada. Friends may call now and until 9:30 a.m. on Monday at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
