Bonnie Jean Krohn, 71, Nevada, passed away on Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, at Christian Health Care in Nevada following a lengthy illness. She was born March 14, 1937, in Monmouth, Ill., to Elmer Ricketts and Elizabeth Lucille Hanley Ricketts. She married Francis William "Bill" Krohn on July 23, 1955, in Monmouth, Ill., and he preceded her in death in 1991.

Bonnie was raised in Monmouth, Ill., and attended school there. She came to Nevada in 1970. Bonnie was a homemaker and was known in Nevada as the "Rock Lady".

Survivors include one son, Roy Krohn, Columbia, Mo.; grandchildren, Kara Romo and her husband Ruben, Nevada, Steph Krohn, Kansas City, Mo., and Taylor Krohn, Columbia, Mo.; two sisters, Betty Snitker, Viola, Ill., and Ruthie Painter, Monmouth, Ill.; two brothers, Morris Ricketts, Wichita, Kan., and Delbert Skivers, Monmouth, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her husband, three sisters, and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., today, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with Dr. William Cox officiating. Interment will follow in Click Cemetery, Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service and the family receives friends 9-10 a.m., prior to the service at the funeral home.
