Rosa May, 93, Nevada, passed away Monday, Oct. 25, 2010, at Moore-Few Care Center in Nevada, following a lengthy illness. She was born July 7, 1917, in Ashton, Idaho, to Herbert Farnworth and Rosie Lake Farnworth. She was married May 8, 1987, in Reno, Nev., to Alvin D. May, and he preceded her in death in 1997.

Mrs. May was born in Idaho, but spent most of her adult life in California. She came to Vernon County, Mo., in 1992 and has resided here since. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Nevada. Mrs. May worked for many years in the real estate business and also for a time at a parachute company. She was an avid quilter.

Survivors include two daughters, Florence Estes, California, and Judy Johnson, Utah; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two daughters, Viola and Bonnie.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 29, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with Neal Swarnes officiating. Interment will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery, Milo, Mo.
