Suzanne Bell Bartley, 74, died Jan. 16, 2011, in Lexington, Mo. Suzanne was born June 29, 1936, to Sam R. Bell and Mildred (Dixon) Bell. Her father owned and operated Bell's Market in Lexington and her mother was a first grade school teacher.

Most folks knew her simply as Susie Bell. Suzanne was a member of the Lexington First Baptist Church where she was the organist for 20 years. She also played organ and piano for funerals locally and the surrounding area. She was a proud and devoted member of the "Rowdies" Sunday school class.

Her greatest love was her Savior Jesus Christ and her life reflected that devotion in her constant praise and worship of our Lord. Suzanne loved her family, friends and neighbors deeply and actively encouraged those around her with cards and phone calls of support. She was always involved in something musical at church and the local Friends community chorus.

Suzanne married J. Howard Kim in 1956 and had two children, Chris Kim and Bill Kim. In 1972, she married Paul Allen Bartley, who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her sons Chris Kim of Venice, Calif., and Bill Kim and his wife, Jennifer, their daughters, Katie and Jessica, of Oak Grove, Mo.; her mother-in-law Allene Duzan of Nevada; sister-in-law, Sharlene and Charlie Smith of Pleasant Hill, Mo.; and three stepdaughters and their families.

Services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 20, at the Lexington First Baptist Church. Burial in Machpelah Cemetery, Lexington. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 19, at the church.
