Phillip Roger Hendrix

Phillip Roger Hendrix, born June 22, 1934, in Nevada, Mo. The Lord called him home Jan. 24, 2011. His parents were William H. and Bessie W. Hendrix.

He is survived by three children, Robin E., Randall R. and Tamra L. He is survived by five brothers and four sisters, from a total of 20 siblings.

Kansas and Oregon were his homes. He was a brick mason and church builder. Roger was a thankful man who read God's Word and spent time in prayer each day. He actively believed God for miracles. He loved painting, wood carving and leather tooling, was a Little League Baseball coach, loved football and track. He was very proud of initiating the first Wichita Heights School Football Booster Club. His greatest gift was the gift of friendship and helping those in need. His servant's heart legacy continues on with his three children. He will remain forever in our hearts and our love will always be with him.

He was laid to rest at Sunset Hills Cemetery 4810 South Willamette Street, Eugene, OR., 97402, on Jan. 27. There was a family and friends graveside gathering on Sunday, Jan. 30, at 3:30 p.m.
