William "Bill" Louis King

William "Bill" Louis King was born Dec. 8, 1931, in Rich Hill, Mo., the son of David and Veldo (Culver) King. He passed away on April 15, 2011, at the Barone Care Center, Nevada, at the age of 79. Bill was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a retired truck driver.

He is survived by four children, Connie Self, Fort Worth, Texas, David Harreld, Nevada, Tammy Barnett, Kansas City, Mo., Bill Hayes, Nevada, and special friend, Pat Hallem, Nevada; three sisters, Betty Gilkey, Mary Thompson, Rich Hill, Mo., and Daisy Laning, Butler, Mo.; one brother, Donald King, Howard, Kan.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Graveside services and military rites will be held Tuesday, April 19, at 2 p.m., at the Green Lawn Cemetery, Rich Hill, with the Rev. Carl Covey officiating. Family will receive friends 1 p.m. until service time at the Heuser Funeral Home, Rich Hill. Bill will be buried next to his mother and father who preceded him in death.
