Peggy and Don Cummings -- 50 years and Sandy and Gary Rylander -- 50 years

The children and grandchildren of Don and Peggy Cummings and Gary and Sandy Rylander will honor the couples by hosting a 50th wedding anniversary celebration June 18, 2011, at 7 p.m., in the gardens at 1240 S. Crawford. Open to family and friends, whose presence is the only gift desired.

Sandra Stanbro and Gary Rylander were married June 4, 1961, at the First Church of God, in Fort Scott. They are the parents of Susan Hedge of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Cheryl Huffman, of Dallas, Texas. They have six grandchildren -- Isabelle Emily Hedge, Benjamin, Andrew, Nicholas and Jane Huffman.

Peggy Pat Rose and Don Cummings were married June 24, 1961, in the Sacred heart Church in Mound City, Kan. They are the parents of Cara Gentry, Keller, Texas, Chris and Joey Cummings, McKinney, Texas, and Todd Cummings, Independence, Mo. Their grandchildren are Wyatt Gentry, Cari, Michael, Keli Jo, Caleb, and Jacob Cummings, and stepgrandchildren Samantha and Anthony Allaudin.
