Ricky Lee Crews Jr., 33, of Dadeville, Mo., passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2011 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Mo.

He was born and reared in the rural area around Nevada, Mo., on Oct. 5, 1977. He graduated from Nevada High School in 1996 and NEO A&M College in 1998.

He married Jennifer Marie Kenney on June 25, 1999, in Stockton, Mo., and became the proud Dad of Austin Kaleb Crews on Dec. 28, 2000.

Ricky was the manager for Gordon's Feed and Pet of Greenfield, Mo., since 2007, and a farmer all his life. He loved to bale hay and work with his cattle. He attended the Stockton Christian Church. He enjoyed deer hunting with Austin, working outdoors and helping his son get ready for horse shows.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Bob Pritchett; paternal grandfather, Frank Crews; and grandmother-in-laws, JoAnn Kenney and Maxine Williams.

Ricky is survived by his wife, Jennifer; his son, Austin; his parents, Ricky L. and Annette Crews of Nevada; his sister, Brandi Whitworth and her husband, Jake; one niece, Samantha, Moundville, Mo.; two nephews, Brandin and Bryce Whitworth, Moundville, Mo.; maternal grandmother, Betty Pritchett; paternal grandmother, Loretta Crews; mother and father-in-law, Steve and Kim Kenney; sister-in-law, Melissa Kenney; grandfather-in-law, Gail Williams; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Friday, July 8, at the Stockton Christian Church. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 9, at the church under the care and direction of the Butler Funeral Home of Bolivar, Mo. Burial will follow at Stockton Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Park Pritchett, Sheridan Pritchett, Kenneth Ball, Mike Crews, Lincoln Hughes and Justin Dampier. Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Baker, Brandin Whitworth, Bryce Whitworth, Jake Whitworth and Kermit Pritchett.
