Russell E. Pippin

Russell E. Pippin, 59, Nevada, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2011, at his home in Nevada, following a brief illness. He was born Feb. 17, 1952, in Nevada, to James L. Pippin and Mabel L. Oyer Pippin. He married Sandra L. Schnedler on Dec. 20, 1995, in Nevada, and she survives of the home.

Russell was a lifelong resident of Nevada. He graduated from Nevada High School in 1970. Russell owned and operated Pippin's '66 Service Station in Nevada and was a mechanic for 30 years. He had worked at Wal-Mart District Center No. 6065 in Harrisonville, Mo., for the past 10 years. Russell was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church.

Survivors in addition to his wife, Sandra, include one brother, Jim Pippin and his wife, Marita, Nevada; his stepmother, Wilma Pippin, El Dorado Springs, Mo.; one son, Chance Pippin; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew, Jamie Pippin.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 14, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park, Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service and the family receives friends from 7-8 p.m., Wednesday, July 13, at the funeral home.
