Patsy Ruth (Mooney) Weber, 79, Moundville, Mo., passed away on Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011, at her home in Moundville. She was born Jan. 14, 1932, in Moundville, Mo., to Lawrence Winfred Mooney and Gracie Irene Springer Mooney. She married William "Pete" Weber on June 30, 1954, in Miami, Okla., and he survives of the home.

Patsy grew up in the Moundville area. She attended the Lone Star School and graduated from Bronaugh High School in 1949. She loved her family, going to garage sales, and cooking fried chicken for her family on Sundays. Patsy was also known as "Ma."

Survivors in addition to her husband, Pete, include her children, Judy Broughton and her husband, Bob, Independence, Mo., Bill Weber and his wife, Bernie, Moundville, Mo., Bruce Weber and his wife, Sherie, Moundville, Mo., Virginia Read, Nevada, Ed Weber, Moundville, Mo., Patricia Harris and her husband, Gilbert, Moundville, Mo., Julie Nikodim and her husband, Mike, Moundville, Mo., and Glenda Leer and her husband, Jimmie, Bronaugh, Mo.; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Williams and Lois Mooney, both of Independence, Mo.; one brother, Robert Mooney and his wife, Nancy, Nevada; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, David Leon Weber.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 18, at Shiloh Cemetery in Barton County, Mo., with the Rev. Bill Smith officiating. Friends may call now and until 9 a.m., Thursday, at Ferry Funeral Home, 301 S. Washington, Nevada. The family will receive friends Wednesday, Aug. 17, from 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home.
