The Rev. Ralph L. Clark

Tuesday, November 29, 2011

The Rev. Ralph L. Clark, 56, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Nov. 23, 2011. Ralph graduated from North Kansas City High School, Central Methodist College, St. Paul School of Theology and was an ordained pastor of the United Methodist Church for 32 years. Ralph was an active member of the Boy Scouts of America and a member of the tribe of Mic-O-Say. Ralph was also an active Chaplin with the Vernon County Sheriff's Department. The Rev. Ralph L. Clark served The United Methodist Church in Nevada, Mo., for the last 10 years.

Son of Johnie E. and Anna May Clark and preceded in death by his mother, Ralph was born June 1, 1955. Ralph leaves a family who dearly loved him: His father, Johnie E. Clark; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Glen Jones; nephews and nieces, Joel and Aimee Davis, Jon Davis and Amie Carroll, Melissa Davis and Monte Helm; and great-nephews, Tristan Davis, Cole Davis and Greyson Helm.

Including so many friends he counted as family, we will all greatly miss Ralph's friendship and leadership.

A celebration of life is to be held at the United Methodist Church at 500 South College, Nevada, on Friday, Dec. 2, starting at 1 p.m.

The Rev. Ralph L. Clark's heart was in giving back and taking care of a community, so in lieu of flowers the family would like to honor his memory in suggesting a remembrance be sent to Habitat for Humanity of Nevada, the Community Outreach of Nevada or the United Methodist Church Nevada Missions.
