Edna Mae Jordan, 92, former resident of Fort Scott, Kan., more recently of Wichita, died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012, at the College Hill Nursing Home in Wichita, Kan. She was born Nov. 3, 1919, in Fort Scott, Kan., the daughter of Percy Salisbury and Hazel B. Jordan. She graduated from Fort Scott High School with the class of 1938. She worked as a hotel maid in Fort Scott. Edna loved to read. She was a member of the Mt. Olive Church of God in Christ and greatly enjoyed teaching Sunday school.

Survivors include one brother, Arthur C. Jordan and wife, Leona, Las Vegas, Nev.; a cousin, the Rev. Cecil Robinson; four nephews, Edward Salisbury, Brian Jordan, Michael Jordan and Marc Jordan; two nieces, Pam Jordan and Colleen Jordan James; as well as numerous great- and great-great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Edgar Salisbury; and one sister, Dollie Potts.

The Rev. J.T. Owens will conduct services at 1 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 26, at the Cheney Witt Chapel. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until service time at the Cheney Witt Chapel. Memorials are suggested to Mt. Olive Church of God in Christ, and may be left in care of the Cheney Witt Chapel, P.O. Box 347, 201 S. Main, Fort Scott, KS 66701.
