April 22

5:01 p.m.: A one-vehicle accident occurred at U.S. 54 and U.S. 71 highways when a pickup driven by Jenah O. Huff, Belton, Mo., went off the roadway and struck the drainage ditch. No injuries were reported.

There was a report of private property damage in the 200 block of South Elm Street. A black SUV doing donuts in the parking lot threw gravel and shattered a window of the residence.

There was a report of private property damage in the 1200 block of South Spring Street. A mailbox was damaged.

There was a report of a petty theft from a motor vehicle in the 400 block of East Cherry Street. A Samsung cellphone was removed from the vehicle.

April 23

7:59 p.m.: A one-vehicle accident occurred at Route W and Atlantic Avenue when a motorcycle driven by Michele L. Koutz went off the roadway and struck a telephone pole. Koutz reported minor injuries.

There was a report of property damage in the 300 block of North Cedar Street. A can of paint that was left inside a 1999 Chevrolet van was opened and poured inside the van by an unknown individual.

April 24

7:58 a.m.: An accident occurred at Hickory and Main streets involving a pickup driven by Laura A. Busey, Lamar, Mo., and a car driven by Joshua M. Huppe, Nevada. No injuries were reported.

3 p.m.: An accident occurred at Hickory and Spring streets involving a pickup driven by Derek M. Maters, Nevada, and a car driven by James H.J. Justus, Nevada. No injuries were reported.

There was a report of property damage in the 200 block of North Cedar Street. The lock on the back door was damaged. Entry was not made into the building.

There was a report of a theft on East Walnut Street. An iPod was stolen from a 2000 Mitsubishi while it was parked on the Square.
