Navada Raye (Morris) Brown

Wednesday, May 2, 2012

Navada Raye (Morris) Brown, 65, of Schell City, Mo., was born Aug. 20, 1946, in Warren, Ohio, one of 16 children born to Raymond John and Jennie Adeline (Louis) Morris. She passed away April 27, 2012, at the home of her son in Rockville, Mo.

Navada lived in Vienna, Ohio, throughout her childhood and teen years. In May of 1964, she was united in marriage to John W. Sharer Jr. in Vienna, Ohio, and to their union five children were born, Norma, Esther, John III, Jennie, and Elmer. Due to John's U.S. Army duties, the family moved often and were stationed from Texas to Germany.

Later, Navada married Elmer L. Brown in October 1973 and to their union one daughter was born, Redeana. The entire family moved to Missouri in the early 1970s and settled in Roscoe. Navada and Elmer spent many happy years together raising their children, traveling, and fishing. Elmer passed away in June of 1989. Navada then moved to El Dorado Springs and worked as a cook in several different restaurants and also worked in nursing homes. She later moved to Indian Springs where she met her lifelong companion Albert "Junior" Harms. They spent many years gardening and enjoying life until his illness, then death, in May 2005. She spent the rest of her years living and taking care of "her boys" even though they were often the ones taking care of her.

Her loving survivors include her sisters, Mary Hill, Gwen Swaitszager, Lois Miller (Bob), and Deloris Clutter; brothers, Dick Morris (Jane) and Robert Morris (Carol), all of Ohio; her children, Norma Norval (Mark), Esther Newsome (Frank), John Sharer, Jennie Wright, Elmer Sharer, and Redeana Crooks (Robert); grandchildren, Gary Norval (Amanda), Julian Norval (Lucy), Shaun Norval (Tabitha), Mary Beth Fleischer (James), John Robert Newsome, Walter and Brandon Wright, James Williamson, Derek Frazee (Kayra), Anthony Crusha (Jessica), Willie Crusha, and Aleisha Crusha; stepgrandchildren, Trisha Prock (Mike), Amy Cavanaugh (JT), and Ashley Crooks; great-grandchildren, Keira, Caylee, Julian, Malachi, and Heaven Norval, Isach, Kaydence, and Kendall Fleischer, and Zane Newsome; stepgreat-grandchildren, Michael and Adam Prock, Karma, Taryan, and Shannon Cavanaugh; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends. She was loved and will be missed by so many until we meet her again one day.
