Larry T. Dahmer

Larry T. Dahmer, 77, of Lee's Summit, Mo., passed away May 11, 2012. He was born in Milo, Mo., on June 3, 1934, to Tommy and Mildred Dahmer. Larry was raised on the family farm and graduated from Nevada High School in 1952. He married "Katie" Riggs on Sept. 1, 1956, and was drafted and served in the Army at Fort Benning, Ga., for two years.

Larry was a sign hanger from 1959 to 1973. He then entered into the drywall business and started his own commercial contracting company, Combo Inc., in 1976.

Larry was a wonderful son, husband, father and friend. He touched so many lives in so many ways. He was never too busy to help a friend. He was a mentor and father figure to many and a blessing to all.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Katie, of 44 years. He is survived by his three brothers, Jerry (Maggie), George (Nan), and Steve; four sons, Dennis (Vicki), Barry (DeAnn), Dusty (Teresa), and Doug (Carrie); 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Blue Ridge Baptist Temple (CrossPointe) 10306 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, Mo., 64134.

Visitation was held Tuesday, May 15, from 5-9 p.m., with funeral services on Wednesday, May 16, at 10 a.m.
