Horace Leon Gray, 69, Nevada, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, at St. Luke's South Hospital, Overland Park, Kan., following a brief illness. He was born June 22, 1943, in Magnolia, Ark., to Elmer Nolan and Evelyn Bunch Gray. On March 11, 1962, he was married in El Dorado, Ark., to Mary Jane Hollensworth and she survives of the home.

Leon was raised in Magnolia, Ark., and attended school there. He was a master electrician and worked in construction his whole life. He lived most of his life in Magnolia and had resided in Nevada since 2004 following his retirement.

Survivors in addition to his wife, Jane, include three children, Steven Gray and his wife, Christy, of Nevada, Karen Bradshaw and Ed Biggs of Butler, and Brad Gray and his wife, Lisa, of Greensburg, Pa.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Nolan Gray of Carthage, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Following cremation, the family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 13, at the home on 1302 N. Washington, Nevada. Interment will be held in the Memorial Park Cemetery, Magnolia, Ark., at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012.

Local arrangements are under the direction of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
