Haunted Trail benefits local charities

Thursday, October 4, 2012
The Haunted Trail Crew will be back in action from 8 to 11 p.m., every Friday and Saturday night in October as well as Halloween night, rain or shine, bringing chills and thrills to people willing to take a drive through the Haunted Trail, Debbie Bossaller said Wednesday. She said the crew will be haunting a road east of Nevada again. Go to John Deer east of the Nevada city limits on Austin Boulevard and follow the signs that lead to the Haunted Trail. They will again offer three levels of fright: No scare, medium scare and full-out. They will be accepting donations to tour the trail. All proceeds will be donated to several local charities. Bosaller said that any area ghouls who would like to volunteer their time can call (417) 667-0433. "We had a blast last year," she said of the 15 or so volunteers who manned the trail.
