Gene and Patricia Davis -- 60 years

Mr. and Mrs. Gene Davis will observe their 60th wedding anniversary with a family celebration on Saturday, Nov. 10.

Gene and Patricia (Edgar) were married on Nov. 10, 1952, at Huntsville, Ark., at the Methodist Church by the Rev. Luther Wilson.

The couple have four children, Gary Davis and wife Linda, and Linda DeMott and husband Gary, all of Fort Scott; Connie Peterson and husband Dallas, of Mound City; and Carol Graham and husband John, of Newark, Del. The 12 grandchildren are Trenton DeMott, Trevor DeMott and wife Sarah, Wes Davis and wife Audett, Ty DeMott, Lacey DeMott and Dean Sayers, Cal Davis, Kelsey DeMott and Alex Swank, Megan Peterson and A.J. Elmer, all of Fort Scott; Matthew Peterson and wife Samantha, Frontenac; Mark Peterson and wife Trina, Kansas City; and Christopher Graham and Timothy Graham, both of Newark. There are seven great-grandchildren with another baby due in January, Kaden, Garen, Jaxen, and Tasen DeMott, Blake Hixon, Nate Davis, and Harrison Sayers, all of Fort Scott.
