Council OKs new schedule of parks fees

Following the recommendation of the parks board, the Nevada City Council voted 4-0, during a regular meeting Tuesday night, to give preliminary approval to five ordinances raising all the fees for usage of Nevada park facilities by an average of 5 percent.

Historically, park fees have been adjusted every four or five years, which meant that the increases were usually substantial.

"I think we all agree that gradual increases are better than one big jump every five years," Mayor Brian Leonard said.

"This was a department wide fee increase and took a lot of work," City Manager JD Kehrman told the council.

Frank E. Peters Municipal Golf Course

Adult season pass -- $435 to $460.

Senior season pass -- $325 to $345.

Additional pass -- $235 to $245.

Student pass -- $120 to $125.

Family pass without cart -- $700 to $735.

Family pass with cart -- $1,200 to $1,260.

Season cart -- $600 to $630.

Weekend/holiday green fee -- $17 to $18.

Weekday green fees -- $15 to $16.

Senior green fees -- $12 to $13.

Junior green fees -- $10 to $11.

Nine-round cart rental -- $10 to $11.

18 round cart rental -- $18 to $19.

Winter green fee (Nov.-Feb.) -- $12 to $13.

Senior winter green fees -- $10 to $11.

Annual trail fee -- $354 to $375.

Twin Lakes Sport Complex

Softball field rental -- $100 to $105.

Re-marking each field (each marking) -- $50 to $53.

Light usage per hour -- $10 to $11.

Shelters

Shelter houses may be reserved for a small fee. They are available for use at no charge without a reservation, however, if someone has reserved a shelter that person will have priority.

All park shelters in Walton, Spring Street, Radio Springs, and the north shelter, south shelter and the amphitheater at Marmaduke Park increase from $10 per hour to $10.50 per hour.

Monday-Thursday and non-profit fee

Two-hour block-- $25 to $26.

Four-hour block -- $50 to $53.

Each additional hour -- $10 to $10.50.

Friday-Sunday

Two-hour block -- $37.50 to $39.50.

Four-hour block -- from $75 to $79.

Each additional hour -- $10 to $10.50.

Walton Aquatic Center

Gate admission, age 3 and up, -- $3.50 to $3.75.

Discount coupons

15 coupons -- $45 to $50.

30 coupons -- $85 to $90.

150 coupons -- $262 to $275.

Pool passes

Individual -- $70 to $75.

Each additional -- $30 to $32.

Family (four or more immediate family members) -- $160 to $168.

Half-season pass

Individual -- $35 to $37.

Each additional individual -- $15 to $16.

Pool rental (per hour) -- $100 to $105.
