Three Nevada wrestlers cracked the top 10 in the latest rankings, available at www.missouriwrestling.com.

Dayton Miller is No. 2 in the state at 106 pounds, Slade Stiles is No. 3 at 120 and Colby Smith is No. 7 at 220. Tigers head coach Devin White says Sam Ellifrits could be ranked in the top 10 at 285 before the postseason begins with the district tournament.

The Tigers' varsity squad will begin the 2013 portion of its schedule in the Monett Tournament this Saturday. White says injuries and illness have taken a toll on his squad and the JV wrestlers will not compete this weekend in Seneca, but will see some mat time in the Nevada JV tournament, Jan 12.

The Tigers' next home dual will be mat-warming night, Jan. 10, when Carthage visits Wynn Gymnasium at 6 p.m.
