Freshman boys fall to Colgan

The Nevada High School freshman boys' basketball team got back into action Tuesday night in front of a sparse crowd at Wynn Gymnasium.
Head coach Kyle Talley's Tigers came into the night hoping to rebound from a 54-27 defeat at the hands of Monett in their last outing, but that was not to be, however, as Colgan used an early offensive firestorm to pick up the victory by a final score of 51-37. It wasn't all bad for the Tigers, however, as they put forth a valiant comeback effort in the second half that turned what could have been a 30-plus-point blowout into a 14-point loss.
Next on the schedule for Nevada's freshmen is today, when they head back out on the road to take on Carthage at 6 p.m.
