The story of Lewis and Clark will come to life in El Dorado Springs and Stockton, as traveling historical presenters offer a series of programs in honor of the bicentennial anniversary of the Lewis and Clark expedition. The Hume R-8 School Board met Wednesday, Aug. 10, for its regular board meeting and to conduct a public hearing to set the tax levy for the 2005-'06 school year. Virginia Flo Willard (Foster), 82, Wichita, Kan., died Monday, Aug. 15. She was the former co-owner and operator of Bright's Grill with her husband for about 30 years in Fort Scott, Kan., and former 4th National Bank of Wichita employee. She was preceded in death by her parents Willard and Wilma Foster; and grandson, David Warrior. ...
