The result was predictable -- overstrained roofs collapsed in Nevada and Vernon County, causing substantial damage to the buildings and disrupting commerce in downtown Nevada...

Nevada Daily Mail School is back in session in Nevada and Sheldon after several days' unexpected vacation for most area students, but Bronaugh and Northeast Vernon County schools remain closed. But it's back to the usual routine for many, after a snowstorm this weekend that dumped four to six inches of wet, heavy snow on the already ice-laden community...

Lea "Roy" Raabe, 67, Montrose, Colo., passed away on Jan. 19, 2007. He was born Sept. 15, 1939, in Hobbs, N.M., and graduated high school in Metz, Mo. He attended and graduated from Central Missouri State University with a degree in education. Roy married Pamela Dunham in 1966 and they had two children, Sonya Elaine and Matthew Eric John. ...
