Nevada Daily Mail Nevada-area quilter Judy Laquidara has been selected as a semifinalist for the 2007 AQS Quilt Exposition, Aug. 22-25, at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center, in Nashville, Tenn. Laquidara has been chosen to join 322 others in this annual contest. In its seventh year, the competition is offering $39,750 in cash awards. The quilt, "Strawberries for Lisa," measures 80 inches wide by 96 inches long, and represents hundreds of hours of work...

The board of directors of Crowder College, Neosho, held their meeting at the satellite campus in Nevada Thursday.
