It is official. Nevada's airport will be getting a new terminal and hangar. Discussion of this issue was held over from a previous council meeting so a couple of issues concerning the Community Devel-opment Block Grant that the city plans to use to pay for the terminal could be resolved, Bill McGuire, city manager, told the council during their meeting Tuesday night...

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 10 fatalities during the 2007 Labor Day holiday; but although some Vernon Countians and those who live nearby were injured, none of the fatalities reported were in Vernon County. According to a report from the patrol, two Rich Hill teenagers were injured Sunday evening when the horse-drawn buggy in which they were riding was hit from behind by a vehicle on route A, about five miles west of Nevada. ...

Nevada hosted 90 people on the Arkansas-based Francis Custom Tours "Mystery Tour" on Tuesday evening, as the group spent time at the Bushwhacker Museum, the Fox Playhouse and on the Nevada Square.
