Adam Thomas Pettibon, infant son of Jami and Larry Pettibon, passed away at St. Luke's Hospital, in Kansas City, on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008. Adam was born at St. Luke's on Oct. 24, 2008. On Saturday, Nov, 8, Capone's plans to host an all ages rock show featuring Berlin Drop of Nevada Mo., Left Lane Closed of El Dorado Springs, and Pit 42 of Columbus, Kan. Capone's has been approached many times on providing an all age show for the youth of the area and have decided to do this as an experiment. ...

Nevada City Clerk Julie Lewis announced Friday that Seth Barrett became the second person to file for one of the two city council seats up for election on April 9, 2009. Jayne Novak has also filed. If more than four persons file for the two seats a primary election will be held on Feb. 3, 2009. The filing period for the election closes at 4 p.m., Nov. 18...

Nine-year-old Paxton Dahmer's first American Royal Livestock show was an event to remember.
