Tiger wrestlers take 11th at Platte County tournament

The Nevada High School wrestling team traveled to Platte County for their 37th annual two-day invitational tournament. The tournament pulls in teams that produced 96 state qualifiers and 46 medalists at the state level last year. This year, 12 teams participated, with most being Class 2 schools. The Hume Hornets picked up their ninth win of the year as they hosted the Rich Hill Tigers Saturday. Ryan Austin led the Hornets with 22 points, followed by Cameron Hinton with 13 as the Hornets fought their way to a 51-41 victory.
