Fred W. Renwick Jr. passed away from renal failure at his home on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009, surrounded by his family. Fred was born on March 27, 1933, in Nevada, to Fred W. Renwick Sr. and Sedda Borgaeus Renwick. He was a lifelong resident of Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School in 1951. ...

Governor Jay Nixon announced Thursday that the U.S. Department of Agriculture has designated 28 Missouri counties as primary natural disaster areas because of rain, strong winds and flooding which caused agricultural production losses. Gov. Nixon requested the designation from Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack on Sept. 24.
