Juanita Davis Pearson, 88, died Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Mo. She was born in Nevada's east end on March 11, 1921, the daughter of Burrel E. Davis Sr. and Nellie Silvers Davis. She was married to Frank "Ted" Pearson and he preceded her in death on Feb. 24, 1990...

Kirk Davisson, 49, Sheldon, was arrested Nov. 3 on a charge of aggravated stalking, a Class D felony. Davisson is alleged to have repeatedly followed a 14-year-old girl and driven past her residence. The probable cause statement by Vernon County Deputy Pat McCarty lists several incidents, some observed by others, where Davisson is said to have slowed down and stared at the victim at a bus stop, several times in one day...
