I arrived early at the Fox Theater Wednesday night to review the play, "The Housekeeper." I wanted time to look over the program and get the background on the actors before enjoying the play. To my surprise, that didn't take long. There are only two actors and only two acts -- no scenes within the acts. My first thoughts were that the actors would have to be very good or the play would not be very interesting...

Sheldon man arrested on stalking charge

Kirk Davisson, 49, Sheldon, was arrested Nov. 3 on a charge of aggravated stalking, a Class D felony. Davisson is alleged to have repeatedly followed a 14-year-old girl and driven past her residence. The probable cause statement by Vernon County Deputy Pat McCarty lists several incidents, some observed by others, where Davisson is said to have slowed down and stared at the victim at a bus stop, several times in one day...
