Livin' Out Loud offers lemonade, pie auction

The Living Out Loud group will be conducting its third "Lemonade Lednesday" tomorrow, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., on the south side of the Vernon County Courthouse lawn. Lemonade will be sold for $1 a cup with $.50 refills. A pie auction will be held at 1:30. Joy Hawks will be making an apple pie to be auctioned off. All proceeds will benefit Living Out Loud, which is a group of Nevada High School students who plan fun, drug-free activities for their peers, a press release said...

NHS show choirs give $500 to Joplin choir

Nevada High School Show Choir Director Wes Morton and Accompanist Anita Byers traveled to tornado-stricken Joplin last week with a $500 donation for the Joplin High School choir. Morton said the Tuesday trip 60 miles south was mutually rewarding.
