Scifers and Mary Ida Nafus Scifers. She married Marvin Harold Ashley on June 27, 1928, in Lamar, Mo., and he preceded her in death in March 1994...

The Missouri National Guard armory located at 1400 W. Cherry St., Nevada, will be accepting donations on behalf of the victims of a house fire that occurred at 323 E. Elm St. in Rich Hill, on Oct. 31. According to Rich Hill Fire Chief Dustin Miller the blaze has left PFC Lee Hatt, a Missouri National Guard soldier deployed to Afghanistan and his parents and children who lived in the home with nothing. A Schell City teenager was seriously injured in a single vehicle accident that happened about 5:45 p.m., Wednesday.
