Pigeon racers flocking to Nevada this Saturday

Pigeon fanciers from several states will converge on the Vernon County fairgrounds in Nevada, on Saturday, March 10, to participate in the first annual Flight for the Fight pigeon racing event. Geneva Orvilla Belcher, 95, Nevada, passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at Nevada Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness. She was born Nov. 27, 1916, in Rockville, Mo., to Dempsey Bain and Elsie Ray Thompson Bain. Geneva was born in Rockville and spent most all of her life in Nevada.
