A Nevada woman was injured in a single vehicle accident that occurred shortly after noon Sunday in Polk County, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper T. Inman. The online traffic crash report states that Karissa L. Strack received serious injuries when she overcorrected the westbound 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer she was driving on Missouri Highway 32 about five miles east of Bolivar, ran off the roadway and overturned. The Vernon County road and bridge crew has announced that it closed County Road 2975 on Monday to replace the bridge about one eighth of a mile south of HH Highway in section 35 of Virgil Township. The road will be closed until further notice.
