Want sewer -- get annexed

Nevada City Council members Jayne Novak and Brian Leonard are adamant -- if you have property outside the Nevada city limits and want city water, sewer and other city services your property must first be annexed, unless it is not possible. If there is intervening property that is outside the city limits that was allowed to connect to the city sewers in the past that might be an exception, but the city should go to that intervening property owner and see if it can be annexed, Novak said in response to John Curtis withdrawing his request to have city services on property he owns that is outside the city limits. ...

Bronaugh aldermen work on 2014 budget

Treasurer Ann Laudermilk presented a preliminary 2014 budget to the Bronaugh Board of Aldermen at its meeting Monday. Mayor Sherry Brown opted to allot funds to the city's government, water and sewer funds. "I think we should put $3,000 into the government fund for repairing city hall's windows," Brown said. Bronaugh man injured in crash

A Bronaugh man was injured in a single car crash that happened about 3 p.m. Monday afternoon on Vernon County Road 1025 a half a mile north of Bronaugh. According to Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper Art Torbeck, Tyler L.
