BOLIVAR, Mo. -- Three weeks after the original date, Lebanon's Yellowjackets defeated the Nevada Tigers, 65-47, Saturday, in the delayed third-place game of the Clinton Boys' Basketball Tournament, at Southwest Baptist University. WILLARD, Mo. --Three Sheldon Panthers teamed up to score 60 points Saturday in a 78-50 victory over Halfway in the first round of the Class 1, District 5 basketball tournament at Willard High School. Freshman Deborah Holcomb scored 14 of her team-leading 18 points in the second half to lead St. Louis Community College to a come-from-behind victory, 73-67, over the Cottey Comets Saturday afternoon, in the gym at Cottey's Hinkhouse Center. The Comets scored the first seven points of the game and held a 37-33 lead at halftime, before the Lady Archers tied the score early in the second half. HUME -- Martell Moore's buzzer-beater lifted the Bronaugh Lady Wildcats to a 53-51 victory at Hume Friday night, sparking the visitors to a sweep of the Golden Valley/Vernon County Conference doubleheader on Parent/Senior Night at Hume High School.
