Beverly Jean Haner, 85, of Nevada, Mo., passed away Thursday, June 26, 2014, at the Nevada Regional Medical Center, in Nevada. She was born July 24, 1928, in Ketterman, Mo., the daughter of Rolla S. and Harriett Lillian (Rankin) Sharp. On Oct. 26, 1946, she was united in marriage to James Thomas Haner, in Fort Scott, Kan. Law enforcement in Raymore, Mo., arrested a Nevada man listed on the county's most wanted list. Chief Deputy Shayne Simmons, with the Vernon County Sheriff's Office, said Friday that Dillon Reed, 24, was arrested around 5:30 a.m. Friday. On March 25, Vernon County courts issued warrants for Reed's arrest on charges of felony driving while revoked and parole violation. Deputies have attempted to arrest Reed since that time, and were involved in a pursuit with him nearly a month ago...

Nevada Daily Mail A Sheldon man was taken to Nevada Regional Medical Center early Friday morning after falling asleep at the wheel and running off the road. Missouri Highway Patrol Trooper Jason Krehbiel reported Dustin Willis, 24, wrecked his Ford F250 around 5:45 a.m. along Route KK. Willis, who was driving east, about five miles west of Moundville, fell asleep, and his truck ran off the left side of the roadway before hitting a bridge...
