Lois Maxine Oslin, 80, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Friday, April 8, 2016, in Kansas City, Mo., following a lengthy illness. Lois was born Jan. 26, 1936, in Montevallo, Mo., to James William and Ruth Ethel (Bright) Faith. She was united in marriage to Jerry Oslin in 1966 and he preceded her in death in 1981...

The Nevada Tigers were defeated by Mount Vernon 8-6 Friday afternoon in the third-place game of the Bill O'Dell Classic in Carthage. The loss drops Nevada baseball to 6-3 overall.
